Gigi Losier
B.A. (Animation), Visual Arts Diploma — Sheridan College
What will my child walk away with? The ability to express an idea clearly and confidently, whether through words, images, or both. My students leave understanding that good storytelling has structure, and that structure can be learned.
What can families expect? A supportive, creative environment where big ideas get broken into accessible steps. I focus on building confidence first, because students communicate best once they feel safe experimenting.
What does class actually feel like? Hands-on and expressive. We treat writing the way a visual artist treats a sketch, as something you build in stages and are allowed to revise.
How do you challenge a curious mind? I ask students to think about how images and words work together to communicate an idea, then push them to experiment with new ways of expressing themselves in their own writing.
Credentials and Experience I hold a Bachelor of Animation and a Visual Arts Diploma from Sheridan College, along with a strong background in visual storytelling, communication, and creative problem-solving. I have experience working with youth in structured, enrichment-based learning environments, where I focus on building confidence and clear, expressive communication.
Why Gigi? Why Brain Power?
I believe creativity is central to communication, not separate from it, and that belief shapes every lesson I teach. Brain Power students get an instructor who genuinely wants them to enjoy the process of finding their voice, in a classroom that stays positive, inclusive, and focused on growth.
