Cindy Hoppman
B.S. (Elementary Education), M.Ed. (Special Education)
What will my child walk away with? Real confidence with numbers and the problem-solving skills to apply math well beyond the classroom. My students leave with more than mastered concepts, they leave believing they’re capable in math.
What can families expect? Instruction shaped by years as a principal and instructional leader, so I understand exactly how students learn and how to build a classroom that genuinely supports every learner.
What does class actually feel like? Collaborative and positive. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own learning, and I focus on building relationships that make it safe to struggle with a hard problem out loud.
How do you challenge a curious mind? I connect math to real-world application so curious students see the point behind the procedure, and I emphasize clear communication of thinking over speed to an answer.
Credentials and Experience I hold a BS in Elementary Education and a MA in Special Education. My career includes extensive experience as a principal, assistant principal, and instructional leader, with a focus on strengthening instructional practice, supporting diverse learners, and using data to drive student growth.
Why Cindy? Why Brain Power?
I’ve spent my career proving that math can be made accessible and meaningful for every kind of learner, not just the ones who find it easy. Brain Power students get an instructor who has led entire schools around exactly that belief, and who brings it directly into every lesson.
