Achol Bab
Communication, Media, and Film — University of Windsor
What will my child walk away with? A genuine sense of confidence in their own voice, along with real, practical skills for speaking clearly and with presence and confidence. I focus on helping students move past nervousness and self-consciousness so they can communicate with clarity, courage, and authenticity, both on stage and in everyday conversation.
What can families expect? A warm, supportive space where every student feels comfortable finding their voice, no matter their starting point. I bring my background in media, storytelling, and personal development into the classroom, and I meet each student where they are, whether that means building basic comfort speaking in front of others or refining an already-confident presence.
What does class actually feel like? Energetic, personal, and a little bit like a workshop. I create moments where students genuinely surprise themselves, especially when they realize they are far more capable speakers than they believed. My teaching philosophy is rooted in real-life experience: I want students to feel the same clarity and courage I try to bring to my own speaking engagements and workshops.
How do you challenge a curious mind? I push students to move beyond simply reciting words and into genuine storytelling and self-expression. Drawing on my experience guiding young people through on-camera confidence and creative storytelling, I encourage students to find their own unique voice rather than imitate a generic one.
Credentials and Experience I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communication, Media, and Film from the University of Windsor. I am the founder of Darkp0wer, a personal development and empowerment brand, through which I lead speaking engagements, workshops, and talk shows. I have taught film and media to students ages 8 to 16, guiding them through creative storytelling and on-camera confidence, and I bring additional experience from higher education recruitment, where I supported prospective students through the admissions process.
Why Achol? Why Brain Power?
I believe finding and owning your voice is one of the most powerful things a person can do. That’s the work I’ve built my career around through media, storytelling, public communication, and creating spaces where people actually feel seen and capable. Brain Power students deserve a teacher who takes their potential seriously, brings real energy into the room, and knows how to help them step into clarity and confidence. That’s exactly what I bring to every class.
