With over 15 years of teaching experience and research focused on educational policy and student learning outcomes, I have a detailed understanding of what actually produces lasting academic growth.

What does class actually feel like? Engaging and intellectually alive. I use approaches that require students to participate, question, and construct understanding rather than receive it.
How do you challenge a curious mind? I give capable students problems that require them to evaluate systems and assumptions, not just solve for an answer. My research background in education means I am genuinely interested in why students learn what they learn, and I bring that analytical lens into how I design challenges.
