What will my child walk away with? A genuine sense of belonging in their learning environment and the foundational skills that come from instruction grounded in culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy. My seven-plus years of experience working with children from infancy to age fourteen, combined with my Master of Teaching research at OISE which focused on how individual learning needs and educational gaps affect student success, gives me an unusually current and research-grounded approach.

What can families expect? A dedicated, lifelong learner who is genuinely excited to contribute to a team that takes enrichment seriously. My research at OISE examines the intersection of individual learning needs and educational gaps, which means I bring a scholarly perspective to the practical questions of how best to support each student’s academic and social growth.

What does class actually feel like? Inclusive, meaningful, and genuinely welcoming. I believe every student can grow to their fullest potential in the right environment, and I invest real effort in creating that environment from the first class. Students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning needs consistently tell me they feel seen and valued in my classroom.

How do you challenge a curious mind? I design challenges that honor each student’s cultural background and individual learning profile while pushing them toward genuine complexity. A curious young learner benefits most from instruction that builds on their specific strengths and extends their thinking in directions that feel personally meaningful.

Credentials and Experience M.T. candidate, OISE/University of Toronto (research focused on automatic promotion, individual learning needs, and educational gaps).
