Subject: Math and Problem Solving

What will my child walk away with? The ability to see the beauty in mathematics and the genuine problem-solving confidence that comes from instruction grounded in three different educational systems across three countries. My teaching experience in Russia, Israel, and Canada has given me an unusually broad perspective on how mathematical thinking develops and what instructional approaches actually work.

What can families expect? A passionate math educator whose goal is to inspire young minds to see mathematics as a creative, beautiful discipline rather than a procedural one. I hold teaching certifications from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Israel and from Canada, and I have implemented special education programs for both gifted children and children with learning disabilities — which means I understand the full range of how mathematical ability manifests.

What does class actually feel like? Engaging, rigorous, and genuinely curious. I am always researching and implementing new techniques and methods to create more effective lesson plans, which means my students benefit from an approach that is continuously refined rather than settled. Students discover that mathematics rewards genuine curiosity.

How do you challenge a curious mind? I develop and implement programs and methodologies calibrated to students of different levels, drawing on the breadth of experience I gained across three educational systems. A curious student who moves quickly through standard material needs problems that require genuine mathematical creativity, not just faster execution, and designing those problems is where I focus my energy.
