What will my child walk away with? The critical thinking, creativity, and genuine love of discovery that bright minds need to navigate a world increasingly shaped by digital complexity. My 18 years of experience across secondary and higher education, combined with current doctoral research in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Digital Learning and Leadership, give me a deeply student-centered and research-grounded approach to instruction.

What can families expect? A former high school physics teacher and experienced instructional designer who has served in pivotal roles at Rice University and Houston Community College, managing instructional technology and designing sophisticated online and hybrid programs. I specialize in creating inclusive, high-impact learning environments and am a strong advocate for Universal Design for Learning.

What does class actually feel like? Accessible, intellectually engaging, and genuinely student-centered. I draw on my background as a science communicator to make complex concepts approachable without sacrificing their depth. Students who arrive intimidated by difficult material consistently find that my approach makes the path forward clearer and more achievable than they expected.

How do you challenge a curious mind? I help bright students navigate the digital age with genuine critical thinking rather than surface-level engagement. A curious student who is already capable needs to learn to evaluate information carefully, reason across disciplines, and apply their knowledge to problems that do not have predetermined answers — and those are precisely the skills I design toward.
