Subject: Public Speaking / Drama

What will my child walk away with? The confidence to express themselves authentically and the creative tools to tell their own story with conviction. My work as a writer, director, actor, and producer gives me a true practitioner’s perspective on the craft of expression.

What can families expect? A teacher who is devoted to unlocking the unique perspective and point of view in each student, and who creates a safe, supportive environment where that discovery feels possible. I have taught drama and dance workshops across Toronto, and I bring that hands-on creative experience into every class.

What does class actually feel like? Creative, safe, fun, and empowering. I believe that public speaking is one of the most effective vehicles for building the kind of confidence that carries over into every other dimension of a student’s life. I design my classes with that long-term goal in mind.

How do you challenge a curious mind? I push students toward finding their own unique voice and perspective. Tapping into the “why me” and “why now” is something I always encourage students to bring into their speeches. Curious students who are already expressive need to learn to trust their own perspective enough to commit to it fully. Once they commit, that’s when the most genuine and articulate communication happens in their public speaking journeys.
