What will my child walk away with? A fundamentally different relationship with mathematics — one where the subject feels like a tool for empowerment rather than a source of anxiety. My M.Sc. in Clinical Anatomy from Western University, Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences, and trilingual background as a first-generation Canadian give me a distinctive combination of subject depth, pedagogical creativity, and genuine commitment to equity in STEM education.
What can families expect? A teacher who works actively to dismantle the myth that some students are simply not math people, and who creates inclusive, judgment-free learning spaces where students build foundational numeracy, critical thinking, and genuine problem-solving confidence. My work on multidisciplinary research teams and in anatomy curriculum development gives my teaching a strong applied foundation.
What does class actually feel like? Creative, culturally aware, and genuinely rigorous. I blend academic rigor with creativity, cultural awareness, and compassion, because I believe STEM education should empower all learners rather than sort them. How do you challenge a curious mind? I give students real-world applications that reveal the creative and analytical depth beneath the mathematics they are already learning. A curious student who is already technically confident benefits from understanding the conceptual architecture underlying the procedures, because that understanding is what makes mathematical thinking genuinely transferable.
