What will my child walk away with? The confidence to use their voice on any stage, in any context — developed through instruction from a published author, award-winning speaker, and founder of a social enterprise who has shared platforms with leading motivational figures and delivered keynote addresses to audiences of over 500. I teach public speaking from a place of genuine practice, not theory alone.
What can families expect? A dynamic, equity-minded educator who has served as Vice-President of Equity at the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union, representing over 50,000 undergraduate students, and who brings that same commitment to student voice and empowerment into every Brain Power class. I have published over four books across self-help, holistic wellness, and children’s education, and I draw on that creative range in how I teach.
What does class actually feel like? Energizing, purposeful, and genuinely empowering. I believe academic excellence and confident self-expression are not separate goals, and I design my classes to develop both simultaneously. Students who arrive uncertain about their own voice consistently leave with a different relationship to it.
How do you challenge a curious mind? I give students real platforms and real audiences rather than contained classroom exercises. A curious student who already has something to say needs to learn to say it in a way that lands — with clarity, conviction, and genuine awareness of the audience in front of them. That transition from capable to compelling is where I focus my energy.
