What will my child walk away with? A strong mathematical foundation built through extensive practice and a genuine understanding of mental mathematics — the kind of deep numerical fluency that makes every subsequent mathematical challenge more manageable. My decade of international teaching experience across Mexico, Bahrain, China, and the United States has given me a precise, cross-cultural understanding of what foundational mathematical mastery actually requires.

What can families expect? A Ph.D. candidate in Statistics at York University and data scientist with extensive academic and industry experience, who holds a U.S. teaching license and a M.Sc. in Statistics from Texas Tech University. I also believe in the thoughtful application of AI as a tool to support personalized, efficient learning, and I bring that perspective into how I design instruction for each student.

What does class actually feel like? Rigorous, adaptive, and genuinely international in perspective. My teaching career across four countries has made me unusually flexible and empathetic as an educator, and I use those qualities to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and create inclusive environments that support genuine academic growth.

How do you challenge a curious mind? I give students progressively demanding mental mathematics challenges that build genuine numerical intuition alongside formal problem-solving skills. A curious student who is already comfortable with standard procedures benefits enormously from developing the kind of mathematical fluency that allows them to see the structure of a problem before reaching for an algorithm.
