What will my child walk away with?  Real mathematical confidence that holds up over time, built by making sure every new concept is genuinely understood before we move to the next one.

What can families expect?  Instruction informed by my own research into how teaching method affects not just what students learn, but how they come to see themselves as learners, with particular attention to students who learn differently.

What does class actually feel like?  Patient and encouraging. I bring genuine care to how each lesson within the curriculum actually lands for a given student, adjusting pace and explanation so no one is asked to move on before they’re ready.

How do you challenge a curious mind?  I bring the analytical precision from my computer science training to pinpoint exactly where a student’s understanding breaks down within a lesson, then work with them until that specific gap actually closes.

Credentials and Experience  I hold a BS and MS in Computer Science along with a BEd, whose research examined the relationship between Concrete-Representational-Abstract instructional strategies and student confidence in mathematics. I began my teaching career in Karachi, Pakistan, instructing Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at a private school before immigrating to Canada, and I am now moving toward doctoral study in curriculum development and pedagogy, with a focus on neurodiverse learners. I am fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
